The Sweet Sisters' journey began many years ago with a love for all things herbal ~ aromatic flowers, leaves & barks infused in oils, herbal salves and soaps incorporating rich butters and wonderfully fragrant essential oils. I have enjoyed creating aromatic gifts for my family and friends for as long as I can remember.
When my children were little, I wanted to give them healthful alternatives to commercial products and so learned to make many that we used regularly. Along the way, Terra & Rohanna, the real sweet sisters, developed a growing passion for horses and wanted a way to buy their own & be able to support them. So together, the girls and I began making soap, creams and other body care for sale at the Bayview Farmers Market on Whidbey Island. Interest grew along with our talents and over a few years of much research, trial-and-error and willing "family & friend testing," we developed our full line of Sweet Sisters Bodycare. Three years later, Rohanna and Terra still enjoy their wonderful thoroughbred horses, Suki and Aerial Fox, jumping, trail riding, and participating in hunter-jumper shows as well as swirling soap, pressing bath fizzes, making shampoo and helping with all of our Sweet Sisters Products in our home studio on Whidbey Island. I continue to enjoy playing the alchemist, especially in the area of research and development. As a woman who has had her trials with "combination" skin and also spent a bit too much time in the sun over the years as well as a mother of three teenagers with their own skin issues, I have been very motivated to study the area of natural skin repair. I am so excited about our new preparations to support the process of "graceful aging" and having our best skin possible at any age! We love what we do and hope you do, too!
