don't miss our new show in Seattle, the URBAN CRAFT UPRISING Winter 2011... a fun, unique showcase of the BEST indie crafters !!!
December 3-4, 11-5pm Come nurture our wonderful Northwest DIY crafting community!!!
Urban Craft Uprising is Seattle's largest indie craft show! UCU was started in 2004 to showcase the work of independent crafters, artists and designers -- to provide a unique, high quality, hand-crafted alternative to "big box" stores and mass produced goods. Now in its seventh year, fans can choose from a wide variety of hand-crafted goods, including clothing of all types, jewelry, gifts, bags, wallets, buttons, accessories, aprons, children's goods, toys, housewares, paper goods, candles, kits, art, food, and of course, your favorite Sweet Sisters products and special holiday gift sets, perfect for sharing!
Each show is carefully curated and juried to ensure the best mix of crafts and arts, along with quality and originality. This bi-annual show showcases over 100 vendors excelling in the world of craft, art and design.
Check out their famous swag bags full of goodies from the vendors and sponsors. Not only can you peruse the aisles full of vendors selling their wares, but there are also hourly crafty book signings and demos to check out. This show is free and fun for the whole family! We hope to see you there!
How do I get there?
The Exhibition Hall is located at 305 Harrison Street in Seattle. The entrance to the show is on Mercer Street.
If you are able, we highly encourage you take public transit to the show. You can use the Metro Trip Planner to map your route.
How much does it cost to attend?
Urban Craft Uprising is FREE to the public!
What time do I need to line up to get a swag bag?
Often the lineup for our swag bags starts as early as 8:30 a.m. each morning of the show. They can't say for sure when to get there to be guaranteed a spot as one of the first 100 in line, but sometime between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. (doors open at 11:00) is probably a safe bet.
Is there parking?
There is free street parking on SUNDAYS ONLY. Other convenient parking options are:
* Mercer Garage (Third Avenue N. & Roy Street)
* 1st Avenue North Garage (between John and Thomas Street)
* 5th Ave N Garage (Fifth Avenue N. & Republican Street)
Why are UCU shows so crowded?
Seattle LOVES UCU! If you absolutely hate crowds, we suggest attending UCU later in the day, as the largest swarms come during the first couple hours of our doors being open (11am-1pm). |
